Your analytics choices

Swirloo is part of PlayNoodles. We use optional Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, traffic sources and rounds started across our games. We only load Google Analytics after you choose Allow analytics. Declining does not affect gameplay. Consent on swirloo.com is separate from your choice on playnoodles.com.

You can use the Privacy button on the home screen to change your choice or withdraw consent. If you are playing, leave the round to return to this screen. Withdrawing stops future Google Analytics collection and removes the Google Analytics cookies set here. It does not stop the separate basic aggregate counters described below. It does not automatically erase data already received by Google.

Basic aggregate counters

Separately from optional Google Analytics, Swirloo and PlayNoodles use basic counters for page views, rounds started and broad traffic-source categories. These counters work without analytics consent and do not use cookies or visitor identifiers.

The counter sends only the event type, the game name swirloo and a traffic-source category from a fixed list. The collector stores only aggregate totals by day in the Europe/Lisbon timezone, game, event and source. It does not store IP addresses, user agents, full page or referrer URLs, tornado names or room codes in the counter data.

These totals count views and round entries, not unique people. Reloading a page or playing another round can count again. QA and automated test activity is excluded. A temporary QA flag in session storage preserves that exclusion across pages in the same tab and domain. Counter requests omit credentials and the Referer header. Hosting and security providers still process connection information to deliver and protect the service.

What Google Analytics receives

With consent, Google receives page views, device and browser information, traffic attribution and a game_start event when you enter a running round, identified as swirloo. Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to recognise visits. Advertising storage, Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled.

Our tracking code removes URL fragments and query parameters other than campaign tags before sending page and referrer URLs. We do not send your tornado name, friend-room code, in-game chat, scores or game visitor identifier in these events. Do not put personal information in campaign tags or shared URLs.

Google processes analytics data and may process it outside your country. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Storage needed for the game

The game stores your chosen tornado name, personal bests, tutorial progress and a game visitor identifier in your browser. Your consent choice is saved locally so that we can remember it. These game settings are separate from Google Analytics. The game server processes connections and round activity to run multiplayer and keep aggregate play totals. Hosting and security providers process connection information to deliver and protect the site.
